Christina is a Korean American law student who hopes to be a prosecutor in the future. She is very active in the law school community, serving as the president of her local APALSA chapter; co-director of the Law ReVUE, a sketch comedy group; Topics Editor of the Elder Law Journal; and playing catcher in the law school’s softball league. She is also involved in the Trial Advocacy program and is an extern at the local branch of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.
Christina earned her Bachelor Degree in Government from Cornell University, concentrating in Asian American Studies and International Relations. While at Cornell, she sang in an a cappella group and fell in love with ice hockey. She continues to play ice hockey with an intramural team at the University of Illinois.

John is currently a second-year student at UCLA Law. In addition to his responsibilities on the NAPALSA Executive Board, he also serves on the boards of the UCLA APILSA and the UCLA Public Interest Law Fund (PILF).
John received a Bachelor’s degree in History, also from UCLA, and is a proud double-Bruin.
He loves basketball and politics and is mildly addicted to the tv show LOST.

Angela is currently a second year at the University of La Verne. In addition to serving on the NAPALSA executive board this year, she is the Treasurer of the APALSA chapter on her campus. She is also on board as the Clerk of the Exchequer for the law fraternity, Delta Theta Phi.
Angela completed her undergrad degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Business-Economics.
She loves the ocean and enjoys surfing, sailing, and scuba diving.
JIMMY NGUYEN, TREASURER

Jimmy is in his first year at the University of La Verne. He is the 1L rep for APALSA, the treasurer for The Federalist Society, and also a member of Delta Theta Phi.
Jimmy is a UC Irvine alumnus. The first of his two degrees is Criminology, Law and Society while the other is Psychology and Social Behavior. He was also captain of the UC Irvine fencing team.
He has developed a love for traveling having backpacked through Southeast Asia and Europe. In his scarce free time, he aspires to write poems about sea shells especially during long inspirational walks on sunset beaches.
His ideal position would take him to various destinations and requirehim to solve problems.

Ariel is currently a first year at the Syracuse University College of Law, In addition to serving on the NAPALSA executive board this year, she is a member of APALSA on her campus, a judicial board member for the 1L class, and a reporter for Impunity Watch, a human rights journal.
Ariel completed her undergraduate degree from Queens University, with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Business Administration.
She loves to travel and karaoke, also enjoys cooking, skiing and playing with her lovely puppy.
Ariel will be study in the Summer Institute of Global Justice in Hague, Netherlands this summer, also interning for one of the International Courts.
JASMEER CHAHAL, PACIFIC REGIONAL DIRECTOR

Jasmeer is currently a second year at the University of La Verne. In addition to serving on the NAPALSA executive board this year, she is the secretary of the APALSA chapter on her campus. In addition, she is a community service co-chair for the local fraternity chapter, Delta Theta Phi.
Jasmeer completed her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History.
She enjoys classic sitar and bhangra music, sleeping in, and kickboxing.
BETTY DUONG, PACIFIC REGION CO-DIRECTOR

Betty Duong is a first year law student at University of California, Davis School of Law. She is a graduate of De Anza Community College and a UC Berkeley alumnus with a B.A. in Asian American Studies.
In addition to serving on the NAPALSA board, Betty is proud to be a mentor with the King Hall Outreach Program, an advisor to the Undergraduate Southeast Asian Student Commencement and a member of the organizing committee for the Annual Bay Area Asian Pacific Law Student Association Conference. She is currently working with other law students and community organizations to develop and implement student “teach ins” on the current Memorandum of Understanding between the U.S. and Viet Nam authorizing the deportation of Vietnamese Americans.
Betty also has the honor of being the 2007 Silicon Valley’s Asian Pacific Bar Association Achievement Awardee and a 2007/08 recipient of the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Northern California Annual Scholarship.
Betty will spend this summer as a Judicial Extern with the Honorable Erica Yew of Santa Clara County in Drug Dependency Court.

Alison is currently a fist year at the University of Denver. In addition to serving on the NAPALSA executive board this year, she is a 1L Representative of the APALSA chapter on her campus.
Alison completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Denver, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics. She worked for 4 years in the Technology Industry before returning to law school.
Alison is a Colorado native. She loves the outdoors and enjoys snowboarding and golfing.

Viet received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in 2005, and now attends the University of Arkansas School of Law where he is a second year law student. In addition to his duties as the Southwest Regional Director of NAPALSA, Viet also serves as President of APALSA at the University of Arkansas.
His academic and professional interests are focused on the Rule of Law and Trade in China and Viet Nam. He studied briefly in Beijing, China at Renmin University of China School of Law and will intern this summer for the ABA in Hanoi, Viet Nam.

Woo-Jin’s hometown is College Park, MD. He completed his undergraduate degree in 2005 from University of Michigan, GO BLUE! He is currently a 2L and the President of the APALSA chapter at Florida Coastal School of Law.
Woo-Jin enjoys cooking, golfing and reliving my youthful years by trying to play basketball.

Camille is currently a second year at Vermont Law School in picturesque south central Vermont. In addition to serving on the NAPALSA executive board this year, she is Vice President of the APALSA Chapter on her campus.
A bruin for life, Camille earned her Bachelors of Art in Political Science and Public Policy from the University of California, Los Angeles.
As a native Californian, Camille loves the ocean but ironically cannot swim. She also loves rain and/or snow and attempts to cook every now and then.
